Rotary dryer is a kind of industrial dryer with simple structure, which has wide applications in industrial production. It is also called drum dryer, rotary drum dryer or dryer drum. It adopts a simple tube structure, and it is flat on the surface to form a certain angle with the horizontal plane, which is easy for the dried materials to flow from one end to the other end.

Application of Rotary Dryer

Rotary Dryer is a dryer machine which is very suitable for drying and dewatering many kinds of powdery, granulous and massive material with moisture such as river sand, silica sand, limestone, slag, coal ash, sawdust, wood shavings, wood chips, chicken manure, grass, cassava residue, cassava residue, coal slurry, etc. in the industries of mineral dressing, building material, metallurgy, chemical and fertilizer.

Working Principle of Rotary Drum Dryer:

The machine dry the material directly when the material meet the hot air in the tube. While i will show it in details.

1. The material to be processed is elevated to the storage silo by a belt conveyor or elevator. And the will be sent to the opening part at the top of the rotary by the charge in the storage silo.

2. Then the raw material which contains large moisture will inflow into the drying chamber due to the gravity itself from the top to the inclined chamber.

3. While the dry and hot air will raise form the bottom of the rotary dryer and will meet the raw material comes from the top of the dryer. Just this process , the raw material is dried . With the raw material goes to the bottom in a long time , the moisture is gone and finally the dry material be produced .

4. Is the raw material goes to the bottom in line ? The answer is "NO !" .As we have a window in the rotary dryer ,so the material will be elevated to a certain height in the rotary and fall down . This process will be continued until the material goes to bottom. By doing so , a high thermal efficiency is achieved and the dryer operates at a high availability.

The Classification of Drum Dryer:

Drum dryer can be divided into single-cylinder dryer, double-cylinder dryer and three-cylinder dryer according to the structure of the drum. Multilayer drum dryer is also called sleeve dryer. The development of multi-layer cylinder dryer is to save land and improve the utilization rate of heat energy.

The Advantages of Drum Dryer:

Hongxing drum dryer adopts new type of combined lifter and center lifter device without wind hole phenomenon and high heat exchange efficiency. A variety of material distribution combinations can effectively control the drying time and good drying effect. The configured high temperature flue gas furnace has fast heating effect and high thermal efficiency. The coal consumption is lower than the 80kg standard /t of dry coal. It is a set of heating, drying and dust collecting to realize the mechanical and automatic operation, so as to meet the requirements of environmental protection.
